Pittsburgh Singles
Volunteer Network is a first-of-its-kind organization connecting
singles to volunteering opportunities with charitable and non-profit
organizations. Through our work we hope to cultivate lifelong
commitments in volunteerism, help non-profit's throughout the area,
and grow the number of activities available to singles.

Urban Magnet Program (PUMP)
We engage the
young professional in the issues that affect attraction and retention.
We listen to your opinions then create programs, support existing
programs, advocate for issues and educate the right people on what's
best for our region.

Young Professionals (PYP)
Formed in 1988 by six people who
moved back to Pittsburgh and wanted to contribute to the community.
PYP is a growing 430 member organization. Whose members are of diverse
personal and professional backgrounds.

Sprout
Fund
The Sprout Fund is a non-profit community organization that
supports the innovative ideas of young people through modest grants
for community projects. Launched in August 2001, Sprout is a project
of The Tides Center (PA).

Cultural Trust
A nonprofit organization created to stimulate the
economic and cultural development of Pittsburgh through the
development and promotion of a downtown arts and entertainment
district. The Trust encourages and presents diverse performing and
visual arts programs in the Cultural District.
Onyx

Onyx Alliance is the result of a
group of young African-American Pittsburgh residents who recognized
the need for an organization providing innovative and progressive
movement within Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Foundation
The 15th largest community foundation in the
country. Since 1945, it has worked to improve the quality of life
in the Pittsburgh region by evaluating and addressing community
issues, promoting charitable giving, and connecting donors to the
critical needs of the community.More than 976 generous
individuals have invested in their community by establishing funds at
the Foundation, benefiting a wide variety of nonprofit organizations
and community needs

public media organization. We give voice to quality music and
provocative ideas, fostering an increasingly more vibrant, artistic,
diverse and caring community. WYEP is Pittsburgh's only independent
public radio station.

As Pittsburgh's
first public radio
station, DUQ 90.5 FM is a leading radio source for local, national and
international news, information and jazz. DUQ is Pittsburgh's primary
source for a wide range of National Public Radio (NPR) and Public
Radio International (PRI) radio programs that educate, inform and
entertain.
