Pittsburgh Sports Leagues

The Pittsburgh Sports League is the premier provider of adult recreational sports leagues in the Pittsburgh region.  A program of PUMP, the PSL began three years ago with a flag football league and 150 people.  Since then, four thousand Pittsburghers have gotten off their couches and onto athletic fields to play on 350 teams in 50 different leagues.

Caving

The Pittsburgh Grotto is the local chapter of the National Speleological Society (NSS) and is dedicated to the exploration, documentation, and conservation of caves. 

Pittsburgh Curling Club

A great game of strategy and fun for both men and women! You saw it at the Olympics and now you can play it in Pittsburgh. It's easy to learn and fun to play. Wear track pants or sweatpants and rubber soled shoes - most athletic or walking types are fine. Equipment is provided and instructors are available.

Rock Climbing

The Climbing Wall - Indoor rock climbing gym

Located at 7501 Penn Avenue, The climbing wall is an indoor rock climbing facility in Pittsburgh East End. Fun for the whole family.

Ultimate Frisbee

The Community for Pittsburgh Ultimate is the um yeah, ultimate place to find out information about tournaments, seasonal leagues (Summer league rocks), club teams, college teams and high school teams. Get out there and huck it. 

Disc Golf

With several courses in the City of Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities, playing disc golf is a great free way to enjoy the outdoors. Disc Golf courses around Pittsburgh include Deer lakes, Getty Heights, College Lodge, Knob Hill, Monroeville, Moraine State Park, Phillips Park and Schenley.

Skydive 

Skydive Pennsylvania located in Grove City allows you to check out the sport in s day of  adventure, or enroll in a program which will earn you your license in just a few weeks.

Enjoy a bike ride around the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or do some mountain biking in the surrounding areas. 

Pittsburgh Running Group

On a weekly basis, rain or shine, people including marathoners and others lace up and go for a run.  Maps are provided with 2, 4, and 6 mile courses, so you shouldn't get lost.

Ski & Snowboard at 7 Spring Mountain Resort

7 Spring Mountain Resort in the best skiing around. Only an hour and a half away from downtown, its easily accessible after work or for a weekend getaway. 

Ski and Snowboard at Boyce Park 

Boyce Park is a small hill very close to Pittsburgh with 1 lift and is perfect for beginners of for a couple hours of fun close to home.

White Water Rafting and White Water Adventures

Three Rivers Rowing Association

Three Rivers Rowing Association offers rowing, kayaking, and dragon boating to individuals, schools and organizations. Experienced and novice rowers and paddlers are all welcome.

Inline Skating Club

Home of the Three Rivers Inline Club (TRIC) and the best resource for skating in Pittsburgh, South-Western PA, and the surrounding areas including Northern WV and North-Western PA.

Bowling

A fun night with friends, Arsenal Lanes in Lawrenceville is a great place to bowl a couple frames. 

Venture Outdoors 

A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting outdoor recreation and Western Pennsylvania as a great place to live, work and play outdoors.

Kayak Pittsburgh 

Kayak Pittsburgh specializes in unguided kayak rentals with basic instructions. Paddle around the point and travel under the Three Sisters Bridges. For rentals go under the Sixth Street bridge.

Pennsylvania State Parks

Get out and enjoy nature by taking a hike, mountain biking or going camping. The Pennsylvania State Parks Website is a great place to get started.
