The Strip District is a one-half square mile area northeast of downtown Pittsburgh. Taking a walk in the historic strip district is a wonder morning. Take time to enjoy the people, the smells, the fresh vegetables.  Make sure you go through Wholey's to see the fresh fish and the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company for the many cheeses and deli.
